I grew up in Bangalore and moved to the US for graduate studies. I am Professor of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesville, a lovely college town in north central Florida.
My introduction to Shukla Bose and Parikrma came through my college classmate, an old friend and Parikrma supporter in 2011. After visiting the school, I was immediately impressed with Shukla’s relentless energy and the dedication of teachers and support staff and later, decided to help with their US fundraising activities. It has been a wonderful and rewarding journey – Engaging with Parikrma fund raising activities on weekends has been a welcome respite from endless cycle of academic work

Pollyana leads the Global Fundraising Initiative at Parikrma Humanity Foundation, where she focuses on raising awareness and securing crucial sponsorships and donations to transform the lives of underserved children. Born and raised in London, Pollyana spent a transformative period living in Bangalore from 2008 to 2014. During her recent encounter with Shukla Bose, just a year ago, her purpose and mission became incredibly clear, inspiring her to dedicate herself to this vital cause.
