Children propose technology-driven ideas for water conservation.
With each passing year, Bengaluru has been grappling with a pressing issue—water scarcity. The situation is becoming increasingly dire. Now more than ever, we need all hands on deck to collectively navigate and find solutions to the depletion and pollution of one of the most precious natural resources.
This year, children from 19 schools presented technology-driven ideas for water conservation. The top three winning ideas were awarded for their innovation, scalability, and impact.
The winners were:- First place: National Public School, Rajajinaga
- Third place: DPS North
- Special award: Perseverance School for children with autism.
Inspiring talks by our guests of honour, Dr Parasuramm Balasubramanian, founding member of Infosys and CEO of Theme Work Analytics, and Vasanthi Ramesh, Managing Director of NetApp India, were followed by a panel discussion with experts from diverse fields discussing the need for schools to encourage creative thinking in students.

An enlightening outdoor experience at Parikrma Oxygen, India’s first nature school, where students explored sustainable water management practices. As a prelude to the Innovations Conclave, we held a captivating pre-event outdoor activity set against the inspiring backdrop of Parikrma Oxygen. This meticulously crafted experience was designed to engage and ignite the participating students’ imaginations. Its primary objective was to give them an immersive introduction to the pivotal challenge —water conservation.
Following the challenge’s unveiling during the preliminary activity, schools were granted two months to engage in ideation and conceptualisation.
We are thrilled to have NetApp Inc. as the key supporter of the Parikrma Innovations Conclave.
